Letter going out today from Council, Tuesday 30th May 2023, informing residents about permit applications and associated costs.
Dear Resident / Businesses,
After receiving majority support in the Albany Road CPZ consultation in March 2022, this
scheme will now be implemented. During the consultation process concerns were raised
about the increase in permit pricing, but we want to assure you that your local Ward
Councillors worked with Officers to come to an agreement. As a result, the £100 permit fee
that was consulted on will be applied for a year.
You may have noticed markings on the footways and kerbs, highlighting the location and
extent of signs and lines. This forms part of the implementation stage and this will continue
until all the infrastructure for the scheme is in place.
It is anticipated that from Monday 31st July 2023, parking controls will be enforced in the
zone. Warning notices will be issued for the first week, after which any vehicle without a
valid permit may be issued a Penalty Charge Notice.
The new operational hours for the zone will be Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 6.30pm
(Except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays).
You can apply for a resident permit or visitor vouchers from Monday 26 June 2023.
Guidance on the process of applying for a parking permit is provided below. For further
information regarding parking permits and visitors’ vouchers, please get in touch with our
Parking Services team on 0300 303 8662 or visit: Parking enquiries – London Borough of Bromley
Permit Information
To help manage your permit account, you will be required to enter your email address and create a password. The many benefits include the ability to instantly:
• change your vehicle registration;
• purchase visitor vouchers, and
• upload documents.
Safeguarding the system
In order to ensure the integrity of the permit scheme and that only current residents receive permits, proof of residence and vehicle ownership documents must be provided to support this application. However unless you are selected at random to provide these documents as part of our sample checking, you will not be required to provide them for a further three years, unless of course your details change.
Unfortunately at present, if you are entitled to visitor vouchers and you wish to apply, you will be required to provide your proof of address documentation again. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and as a solution, we are looking to develop the service to include the facility to cross check documentation submitted under your account.
Completed applications
Once you have completed your application, made payment and uploaded your evidence, your permit will be valid from the date you have chosen and you will receive a confirmation email. If any information is missing from your application, we will contact you.
